from this site,“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”. Sleepy Hollow is a prim, a small,
very quiet town , and proper town but has a secret and tries to cover it up.

ichabod Crane to fulfill his goal of marrying katrina?
Ichabod
wants to marry Katrina, but something is getting in his way. What are the two
things? I would say the main reason is the exist of his competitor Brom Van
Brunt, and then it comes the fact that he can't affored a living.
5. Describe sleepy hollow and its
inhabitants?
Sleepy
hollow is a prim, a small, very quiet town said to be under some kind of
enchantment, and proper town but has a secret and tries to cover it up. Its
residents all seem to move a little slower, daydream a little more, and be more
prone to believe in the supernatural. Sleepy Hollow, maybe for that reason or
maybe because its residents are almost all descended from its original Dutch
settlers, has more than its fair share of supernatural occurrences, or at least
stories of them.
6. What is the main conflict in The Legend of
Sleepy Hollow?
Ichabod
is a nerdy, for that time, school master who moves to Sleepy Hollow from
Connecticut. Ichabod is a bachelor but becomes infatuated with one of his music
students, the young lady Katrina Van Tassel. Ichabod vies for her affections
against another suitor named Brom Van Brunt. Much of the conflict involves Brom
humiliating Ichabod; it was kind of like the mean jock picking on the skinny
nerdy guy in high school. Thrown into the mix is the legend of some guy who got
his head blown off by cannon during the Revolutionary War. Apparently he rides
around at night and is known as the Headless Horseman.

punishment to some students?

the students make a joke that instead him.

first meeting them and then when he was taught the musical disciples in one
evening.

Because
All the people of Sleepy Hollow respected Ichabod Crane because he was a
schoolmaster. He was clever and worked with his mind, not with his hands. He
was a very intelligent man. Most of the people in the valley could not read or
write. But Ichabod could read. So he was an important man in the area. And she
was invite Ichabod to attend a frolic at her home.

He
was tall, narrow shoulders, skinny with long arms and legs, hands that dangled
a mile out of his sleeves, and feet that might have served for shovels. His
head was small, and flat at top, with huge ears, large green glassy eyes, and a
long snipe nose, so that it looked like a weathercock perched upon his spindle
neck, to tell which way the wind blew. To see him striding along on a windy
day, with his clothes bagging and fluttering about him, one might have mistaken
him for some scarecrow eloped from a cornfield. The other boys in the
neighborhood would throw rocks at him and call him cruel names such as Ichabod
and Scarecrow."

Because
when her parents died, Katrina was going to inherit the farm. The land and
everything on it was going to be hers. One day, she was going to be rich.

was a kind and thankful creature, whose spirits rose with eating as some men's do
with drink. He could not help rolling his large eyes round him on the ample
charms of a genuine Dutch country tea table in the sumptuous time of autumn.
19. Do you think Ichabod has run away or been
killed by headless horseman?
I
think Ichabod has been killed by horseman, because The next day after the accident,
Ichabod’s horse back to its owner’s farm, but there is not with Ichabod. A
search party finds a paper and Ichabod’s hat, with a smashed pumpkin left next
to it. Ichabod is never heard again in Sleepy Hollow, although later on it
seems that he is alive elsewhere and has told his story. Some of the
townspeople believe that Brom Bones pulled off a great prank which put Brom in
the final position to marry Katrina, but the old women and local folklore
maintain that he was taken by the Headless Horseman.

paragraph) summary of “ The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”
SUMMARY
The
Legend of Sleepy Hollow tells the story of Ichabod Crane who is a schoolmaster
from Connecticut, who competes with Abraham Brom Bones/Van Brunt to get
Katrina’s affection, the town rowdy, for the hand of 18 year old Katrina Van
Tassel is the daughter and sole child of a wealthy farmer, Baltus Van Tassel.
Sleepy Hollow is a small, very quiet town and horror. Then it gets into the
headless horseman thing. One day, Ichabod was invited to Katrina’s house to
make a party. When Ichabod leaves a
party he attended at the Van Tassel home on an autumn night, he is pursued by
the Headless Horsman, The next morning Ichabod mysteriously disappears from
village, leaving Katrina to marry Brom Bones and move to another place.
